goAML for the Financial Intelligence Agency (FIA) of Bermuda

UNODC is pleased to announce that the Financial Intelligence Agency (FIA) of Bermuda, after long and careful consideration, has decided to acquire goAML for its information management and analytical and management needs. UNODC and the management and staff of the FIA have been in discussion regarding the IT needs of the Agency for over a year and the FIA has very carefully weighed its options before deciding to choose goAML.

The Financial Intelligence Agency of Bermuda was established by the Financial Intelligence Agency Act 2007 (the "FIA Act") to act as an independent agency authorized to receive, gather, store, analyse and disseminate information relating to suspected proceeds of crime and potential financing of terrorism received in the form of Suspicious Activity Reports ("SARs"). The FIA is based in Hamilton, Bermuda and is a member of the Egmont Group.

Installation of goAML in Bermuda will take place in early September 2009.
