At the annual Egmont Group Plenary in Doha from 24-28 May, the UNODC/ITS team was included for the first time as a full member of the IT Working Group (ITWG) and took part in the full agenda, including making a presentation on the new features of goAML and what is intended in future releases. A brief presentation was also made to the full plenary meeting. UNODC is grateful to the Egmont Group for its continued support and looks forward to contributing positively to the work of the ITWG in particular.
In addition to widespread interest in goAML from those new to it, there was a lot of continued interest from a large number of people who have previously been exposed to goAML, particularly in the web application which was demonstrated to a large group for the first time. Over the course of three days goAML was demonstrated to at least twenty interested jurisdictions from all over the world, including Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and South America.
